Looking for a game called Mayday? Start with the studio and subtitle: Survival Island is a solo crafting game by Pequi Studios, Protocol is a cockpit puzzle by Wazang Games, and Vacay is a boat adventure by Make It Work. Films, bands, and the spoken distress call share the name but are separate subjects.
The game that is actually on sale with a free demo today is Mayday: The Survival Island, a 2D crafting game from Pequi Studios, published by indie.io. After its public demo, the full game released on Steam for Windows on 2 November 2026. Next to it, Mayday Protocol is a two-to-four player cockpit puzzle from Wazang Games, on sale since 2 March 2026 for Windows and, since version 1.5.0, macOS. Mayday Vacay and MayDay MayDie are still unreleased Steam listings.

Which game should you open first?
If you want a solo island, a raft, and a crafting bench, start with Survival Island. The store page lists 24 handmade islands, 54 achievements, and a free demo. The launch discount I read on 5 November 2026 was 20 percent, $13.99 down to $11.19, with the offer ending 16 November. A launch note from the publisher counted 10 languages. The Steam language list the same week counted 11, including Traditional Chinese. I am leaving both numbers on the page.
If you want a friend on the other side of a manual, start with Protocol. One person buys the game and flies the cockpit. One to three friends use a free handbook in the browser, as a PDF, or on paper. The public price I read was $7.99. The publisher FAQ says every Wazang game is a PC game and that console ports are not planned. Steam reviews that day were 21 write-ups, 71 percent positive. That count moves.
If you want a boat that tips over, Vacay is the one to wishlist, not to buy. Make It Work announced it on 30 July 2026 and ran a closed playtest from 28 August through 31 August 2026 at 10:00 Pacific. No price and no release date were on the store page on 5 November 2026. Autocomplete suggests PS5 and Xbox. I found no PlayStation or Xbox store page, so those words stay rumors.

Steam search also returns a 2025 retro shooter by tamasdesign, a free shmup by Skyward Studios, the unreleased Mayday Airways, the visual novel Mayday Trials, and the VR game CYBER MAYDAY. On iOS, MAYDAY! Emergency Landing is a 2013 Reludo flight sim. A different free game on Google Play is also titled Mayday! and is not that 2013 sim. The comparison table lists the ones I could match to a store page. It is not a promise that no other Mayday exists on itch.io or Roblox.
